Oh, the light. I stepped off the plane in Yellowknife, and my heart broke wide open – the LIGHT! The huge enormous skies, prairie-big, but very definitively north.  So incredible.

I couldn’t sleep for the week I was up north because of all of this relentless, unending light. I’m so full of Vitamin D, I think I might be made of it now.

And then I got to hang out with Grade 10 students and find out what they love about where they live:
