Bristol’s event wasn’t the warmest love lettering event I’ve done, but it sure did warm my heart!
I sidled up to Kilter Theatre‘s incredible immersive theatre project — a big ol’ red mobile postal sorting unit that houses The Last Post and asked heaps of folks — from wee kids to grandparents — to write love letters to Bristol. It was so inspiring.
(And my favourites were the kid above who took love lettering very seriously, his brother who was SO excited to hide his love letter that he kept re-hiding it and running back to tell me its new location, AND the kid who spelled “Bristol” phonetically and didn’t add that last “L”
Bristo!
How adorable is this fold-out letter-writing desk?
Aaaaand, I couldn’t pass up having a picnic on the longest day of the year…it was in a park that was erm, a tad sketchy, but the sun was shining and there was cider and post cards and a novel, and it was a lovely afternoong/evening indeed!
Onwards to Liverpool!
