Whew! What an incredible afternoon – I just sat with folks from the ever-inspiring Awesome Foundation down at Harbroufront Centre and we got people writing love letters to this fair town of ours…in the words of the Foundation that funded this love lettering venture this year…AWESOME!

They really are an extraordinary group of folks – they each contribute $100 a month and give $1000 (in a paper bag!) to fund an “awesome” project that makes the city a better place to live. From funding Flamin’ Rainbows, a system that will shoot six-colour rainbows in bursts of flame by Alex Leitch to the Bellwoods Push Mower Society, they are giving some really fantastic ideas legs.

It’s such an honour to have The Love Lettering Project in such wonderful company. This summer has confirmed that we are all making this city a more wonderful place.

And they even did a live pitch and awarded $1000 to an idea live on stage – um, awesome!!
