I’ve been waiting for a huge dump of snow all winter and it’s finally arrived. I fully believe that winter in Toronto is 75% for hibernating and 25% for winter picnics/tobogganing/snow ball fights/cross country skiing and walking about in the snow.
Listen to my love letter to snow pants on CBC Radio’s Metro Morning here!
Now, I know most people think snow pants are for kids, but SNOW PANTS! They are the greatest and make all of winter amazing. They make no weather, not even Saskatchewan’s -50, off-limits.
(And without snow pants, how else would I re-enact Ezra Jack Keats’ The Snowy Day???)

Watching the city disappear into a snow storm on the side of Lake Ontario, post-winter picnic would’ve been impossible without my trusty snow pants!
