Love lettering + laundry in Nottingham

Love lettering + laundry in Nottingham

The sun shone in Nottingham! And there were the kindest, most generous folks writing love letters, and not only that, there was brunch (perhaps my very favourite thing) three days in a row.

Jon McGregor, a wonderful writer heading up a letter writing journal (!), who until I arrived here a few days ago was a friend of a friend (of a friend?) I biked past once in Toronto with a chicken hanging off my handlebars, showed me around this delightful place — brunch, a beautiful old libraryan old, old pub dug into a sandstone cave and named lions (Leo and Oscar!) at the Council House.

Wonderfully old spines. And a one-at-a-time spiral staircase.

Lee Rosy’s Tea Shop was a delightful place to get folks love lettering and love lettering they DID!

And now, back to London for Canada Day on Monday July 1st. I’ll be love lettering in the NE corner of Trafalgar Square. Come join me!

ps: Thank you thank you Canada Council and generous Indiegogo supporters for this incredible opportunity.
