If there’s one weekend I love more than all others in this fair city, it’s Jane’s Walk weekend in Toronto. And it’s coming up! May 2nd-4th! Join in and support locally-led, pedestrian-powered civic engagement!
Jane’s Walk is a walking conversation led by volunteers that creates a space for citizens to discuss what matters to them while learning more about their city and their neighbours. Examples of past walks include: Wild Scarborough, examining the ravines and the wildlife within them; Davenport’s Chalk Walk, drawing the change participants want to see in the neighbourhood; and, Forever Fierce, Newcomer Youth Does Jane’s Walk 2013, in which queer newcomer youth celebrated finding much-needed acceptance and support in Toronto.
Check out the walks that are being offered and simply show up at the designated time and place – all walks are free!
